Call for Proposals

We are excited to announce the call for proposals for the 2025 Resource Recycling Conference. This event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and community advocates to share knowledge, spark meaningful discussions and inspire action toward a more sustainable future.

We invite professionals, academics and practitioners to submit proposals for engaging and informative sessions that showcase cutting-edge research, successful case studies and actionable insights.

Session Topics

Proposals should address one or more of the following themes:

  • Recycling Innovations: Emerging technologies, materials or systems that advance recycling processes and outcomes.

  • Reuse Strategies: Case studies or frameworks that demonstrate scalable reuse models for businesses and communities.

  • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): Policy innovations, program design and global best practices in EPR implementation.

  • Composting and Organics Management: Strategies for diverting organics from landfills, improving compost quality and scaling community or commercial composting efforts.

  • Circular Economy Integration: How recycling, reuse, EPR and composting fit into broader circular economy goals.

  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Effective approaches to involving diverse stakeholders in waste reduction initiatives.


Proposal Requirements

To ensure a comprehensive review, please include the following details in your proposal:

  1. Title: A concise and compelling session title.

  2. Presenter Information: Full name, professional title, organization and contact details for all presenters.

  3. Session Type: Specify the preferred format: presentation, panel discussion, workshop or other.

  4. Abstract: A 250–500 word summary of the session's content, objectives and relevance to the conference themes.

  5. Key Takeaways: List 3–5 actionable insights or learning objectives for attendees.

  6. Audience: Identify the target audience (e.g., policymakers, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, researchers).

  7. Experience & Qualifications: Highlight the presenter(s)' expertise and past speaking experience (if applicable).


Selection Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevance to conference themes.

  • Clarity and organization of the proposal.

  • Innovation and originality of content.

  • Practical applicability and value to attendees.

  • Speaker qualifications and experience.
